The Rum is bad and shouldn't be even classified as Rum. Somehow Faber has managed to turn a sugarcane distillate into plain old flavorless and heavily astringent vodka. If you like paying $16 for vodka disguised as Rum, then go for it. Otherwise, if your looking for a good entry Silver Rum, the Calico Jack is one shelf below and is a cheap $9/liter. The Calico Jack is almost 1/2 the price and is 2X as smooth and flavorful than Faber's imitation Rum. I'm an experienced Rum consumer and write frequent reviews on the subject. I am also a proud PA native and went a great distance out of my way to purchase Faber's Rum. This review is based solely on the Faber Distillery's Rum and not any experience related to their physical location.
